Quality Analyst

Saranac Lake, NY
Full Time

Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and supporting the Quality Department, ensuring regulatory compliance and the reliable maintenance of quality standards throughout the organization. The available opening is for the 11am – 7pm shift.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews/audits documents and daily reports as assigned
  • Communicates completed sample test reports to clients as requested
  • Creates, distributes and reconciles controlled documents
  • Supports the maintenance of quality standards of raw materials and products
  • Participates in the technical inspection of the facility and proactively communicates areas for improvement
  • Reviews and files all Quality documents
  • Coordinates on and offsite storage of documents, recall of documents for destruction and contacting clients prior to destruction
  • Participates in continuous monitoring of new and existing equipment
  • Monitors, maintains, calibrates and maps various scientific tools and equipment
  • Responsible for battery and alarm testing, battery replacement, etc.
  • Fluent in articulating Quality philosophy to colleagues within the organization
  • Actively participates in and supports capital improvement projects
  • Prepares the shipment of equipment for calibration
  • Responsible for Environmental Monitoring (EM) of laboratory spaces
  • Manages the implementation and execution of IQ/PQ processes of lab equipment
  • Additional duties as assigned

R&D Scientist

Summary:

This position is responsible for executing laboratory experiments, conducting research, collecting data, and providing analysis in support of projects under the direction of senior staff.  This individual must achieve and maintain proficiency in the execution of advanced techniques, provide keen observations on executed work, deploy problem solving skills to propose follow-up experiments, and determine how a particular piece of information can advance the team’s research goals. Scientists must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills since they function as part of a cohesive team.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Must achieve and maintain proficiency in the execution of advanced techniques, including cell cultures as requested
  • Executes protocols, conducts research, collects data, and provides basic analysis in support of projects under the direction of senior staff
  • Provides keen observations on executed work, deploys problem solving skills to propose follow-up experiments, and determines how a particular piece of information can advance the team’s research goals
  • Ensures that all appropriate preparations are made in advance of studies/projects including, but not limited to, control stock generation and qualification
  • Assists in generating and managing/maintaining large data sets and provides support to other research staff with statistical/analytical queries
  • Explains and demonstrates technology and equipment capabilities, operations, limitations, and outcomes and may train colleagues in equipment operation and research techniques
  • Prepares charts/graphs and presentations of research findings
  • Provides other research related support, such as library and online research and literature reviews
  • Coordinates support efforts of quality control, off-site service providers, and suppliers
  • Schedules and maintains facility and equipment records. May assemble, test, calibrate, clean, or make minor repairs to equipment

Sales Associate

Summary:

This position is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new leads to support expanding the business. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter who enjoys identifying and developing new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, online engagements, prospect lists, event leads, contacts, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate new relationships by identifying and engaging high potential leads across a variety of sources; nurture those leads into new business accounts
  • Possess a deep understanding of outbound prospecting including but not limited to script development, target account management, and engaging in social media for prospecting and securing appointments
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Manage data for new and prospective customers ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and relevant documents are attached
  • Conduct research to identify potential prospects and work with multiple team members to cultivate prospect lists
  • Follow up on leads from key events or campaigns
  • Work with team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals
  • Collaborate with team members to identify emerging verticals and to conduct data-driven communication with prospects

The internship position is primarily responsible for learning and job-shadowing within Research & Development, Diagnostic Testing, Production, Quality, and/or Administrative Departments. It may include understanding the scope of the various other departments within the company. Internships consist of learning and understanding tasks within the assigned area(s) and may include components of R&D research and projects, data sourcing and analysis, and how each department interacts with other parts of the business. Administrative internships may include functionalities from the marketing, financial, and other aspects of the business. The goal of the intern is to deepen scientific knowledge, grow understanding of industry practices, and gain valuable professional work experience.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Train and job-shadow with staff
  • Learn techniques and functionalities of the various departments within the organization
  • Speak with multiple other departments and gain understanding of workflows and business needs in the company
  • Maintain files and generate status information
  • Problem definition, research, data collection, and introductory analysis to determine best processes and methods for problem-solving
  • Input, format, and update a variety of projects and reports

Duration:

  • For undergraduates in their junior year, internships are offered for one semester at a time on a part-time basis or during the summer break between junior and senior year on a full-time basis. For undergraduates in their senior year, internships are offered on a part-time basis during the semester or may be considered on a full-time basis during winter break.

Pay Rate:

  • Paid internships are provided at a rate of USD $19.00/hour.
